Child Clothes Stand

Jackets on the floor, missing hats and mittens, and the raincoat that always disappears when it?s pouring outside and he?s about to miss the school bus?

Does this all sound familiar? The solution is pretty simple (in which we mean, it?s as pretty as it is simple): a child clothes stand.

Made at exactly a child?s height, they?re perfect for holding jackets, hats, and schoolbags. The moment they enter the door, they can hang their things (as opposed to dumping them on the floor, for Mommy to pick up). It takes just seconds for them to do that?but it saves everyone so much trouble!

You don?t waste time in the morning looking for lost things. He doesn?t miss the school bus, you aren?t late for work helping him find that stray jacket, and you don?t spend the morning nagging or lecturing him about why he should take care of his things. You don?t have to worry about a messy hallway; you don?t have to think about where to put his stuff away. The child clothes stand waits, and all he has to do is reach up, and hang them.

The child clothes stand also makes a charming decoration, as cute and playful as your own sweet (if sometimes messy and forgetful) child. Choose from a wide selection of shapes and colors, to compliment your child?s age, personality, and your own decorating style.

Some child clothes stands look like animals, your ?special pets? standing guard at the door, waiting to greet him when he comes home from school. How about a child clothes stand that looks like a friendly dalmatian? Or a child clothes stand that looks like a cute little giraffe? (How many kids can say that they?ve got a giraffe at the door?)

For girls, there are child clothes stands that look like flowers or dainty ballerinas. For boys, you?ve got child clothes stands in baseball or fireman themes. You can even complete the look with a handy rack for keys, wallets or small treasures. The playful designs, the charming colors, the small details (like wee knobs shaped like soccer balls!) all make it a child clothes stand above the rest.

If you want a more classic theme that will blend with the rest of your interiors, there are also child clothes stands that are shaped to look like lamp posts, with different varnishes to compliment your other furniture. Or you can choose from child clothes stands painted in different primary colors, still very childlike but ?cool? enough for a tween who?s ?over? her ballerina phase.

These child clothes stands are sturdy, and at just the right height. There?s no danger of your child slipping as he reaches up to hang his clothes on an adult clothes stand, nor will his clothes be hidden under a pile of other overcoats. This is his own special child clothes stand, and there?s nothing like that sense of ownership to make him take responsibility for his things!

But child clothes stands can be used for other things as well: for displaying a teenager?s assortment of bags, or decorating a themed nursery (hang teddy bears, towels or nursing blankets instead of jackets and scarves).

HDTV Is What Technology Is All About

If you have not yet watched TV on an HDTV you do not know what you are missing. When they promote high definition they aren?t kidding. When my daughter was born I knew I?d be spending a lot of time at home so I invested in an HDTV and two years later I still think it was an excellent purchase. Not only is the picture unbelievable but the sound is much improved as well.

More and more channels are starting to come out in HDVT format so buying an HDTV makes much more sense now as compared to two years ago when I bought mine. When I first got it I think there were only four channels I could watch in HD. They happened to be four channels I watched a lot so it worked out well for me. As time has passed the TV?s themselves become even cheaper and more channels are available so they are a much better purchase.

Many people are not aware that by the end of this year, from what I have read, all TV signals will be sent via HDTV format. In order to watch TV you will either need a HDTV or you will have to have a converter to attach to your existing TV. The converter will not make your current TV an HDTV all of a sudden, it will just allow you to continue to get the same picture you have always gotten. Those converters are going to go for roughly $250 or so, based on my past research.

Now you are considering buying a HDTV, I have convinced you, right? How do you decide which kind to buy? There are regular tube TV?s that are HDTV ready. There are LCD and plasma TV?s. Budget will be a major factor in determining which one to buy. The tradition tube style TV?s are cheaper and they will also fit some existing entertainment centers. The flat screen TV?s will need to be mounted on the wall or most likely require a different kind of base than the entertainment center you currently have.

I did a lot of research before buying my TV. I ended up buying a 42? Sony LCD projection TV. It is a beautiful picture. I am very pleased with the purchase. But, none of these TV?s is without flaws. This particular model has a bulb that helps to project the image to the screen. It has a shelf life of about 18 months. I have had it replaced recently. The bulbs are a couple hundred dollars. Thankfully I purchased the maintenance plan when I bought the unit. Other than that I couldn?t be more satisfied. I can turn out all the lights in the room and throw in a DVD and it is better than going to the movies. I do have mine hooked up to a home theater system. Without that the sound would not be good enough to compare to a movie theater.

Some of the issues with the other kinds of TV?s are: the tube style TV?s are not as compact as the flat screens obviously. They do not get as big as the flat screens. I think the biggest I have seen is 36 inches. Because they are so much cheaper than the other two styles that is all I could think of as problems for the tube style TV. Plasma TV?s on the other hand are the worst buy of them all, in my opinion. My research discovered that plasma TV?s eventually burn out. Whatever is used inside the screen to project the image burns out and cannot be repaired. So, your picture will progressively get worse and you can?t do anything about it except wait for it to get so bad you need to buy another TV. This is a major problem given the price of these types of TV?s. They are the most expensive of the three types. There is no doubt they look nice when you first buy them. They look great in the room you put them in. They are very appealing to most people.

No matter what kind of TV you end up buying the bottom line is that you are going to be amazed the first time you watch your favorite show or sporting event in HD. It is actually funny to me when I look back and think of what TV?s I used to watch when I was little. We had those knobs that you could hear being turned down the street. No remotes, no cable or satellite, and we had to constantly fiddle with the rabbit ears to get a decent picture. I watch a program in HD and I sometimes wonder to myself how they are going to make watching TV in the future even better. It doesn?t seem possible but you know it is. History has shown things only continue to get better.

What To Look For When You Buy A Digital Camera

The good news is that there are plenty of great digital cameras to choose from these days. The bad news is that there is an ever increasing array of types and models as well and it can all get very confusing very fast. So lets discuss some of the features that you can expect to look for as you shop.

Size is an important consideration to many when it comes to digital cameras, and even the subcompact category of cameras still packs a lot of punch for it’s size. You can expect to see resolution in many subcompacts on up to 7 megapixels, which should be more than enough to let you print sharp and clear photos on up to 11 X 14 in size. The only thing that you should be careful of with cameras that small is that the controls and knobs can almost be too small sometimes and be difficult to operate easily for some. That’s why it’s a good idea to physically try out a subcompact before actually purchasing it to make sure that it will be easy and simple to use in spite of it’s small dimensions.

Another important consideration when you buy a digital camera is it’s speed, both when it firsts starts up and when you press the shutter. Film cameras come on instantly and are ready to fire, but digital cameras have to take some time to power up and get ready. In some models it can even take several seconds to take your first picture, which means that you could easily lose some photo opportunities due to your camera not being able to power up on time. So check the startup time for each camera that you look at, and select those that have the quickest power up cycle.

The other speed issue that can come into play is the time lag between the moment when you press the shutter and the actual moment when the picture is taken. In some digital cameras the shutter lag can take almost a full second, which is all dead time that prevents you from taking other photos. In some fast action sequences you could be missing some very important shots, so try to get a camera that reduces the shutter lag under half a second if possible.

If you like to have more exposure control than a fully automatic camera offers you can find some limited manual features on the subcompact and compact digital cameras, but in general the more manual controls you want, the larger camera you will need to buy. In fact, there are several advanced digital cameras that offer manual controls that rival those found in a digital single lens reflex camera, but in order to get those extra features you will need to spend more money and the weight and size will also go up at the same time.

As with many consumer electronics products, there are tradeoffs to make when you select models from different camera classes, but hopefully the tips given above can help you choose and buy a digital camera that will fit you best.

Cyprus Apartments

Cyprus apartments are a great way to spend a carefree holiday on this lovely Island paradise. The most obvious advantage of holidays in Cyprus apartments is the freedom to please yourself. If you just hate having to get up in the morning to que for your breakfast or rush back in the evening for dinner Cyprus apartment holidays were made for you. Get in when you like and go out when it suits you for the most relaxing holiday experence you could ever want. It’s all very well paying an arm and a leg to be fussed over in some zillion star luxury hotel with knobs on but you can’t beat the freedom of a holiday in Cyprus apartments.

Cyprus apartments are modern and often very luxurious with every conceivable home from home comfort plus a few more besides. Air conditioning for instance is a must at least in the bedrooms and most properties will have it installed as standard. I know you don’t go on holiday to wash and cook but if you have kids it may be a necessity so most apartments have washing machines in their fully fitted kitchens. Cyprus apartments offer a real home from home holiday experience for families and couples alike without the hassle of set meal times.

You will find an abundance of Cyprus apartments to rent all over the Island in the coastal resorts as well as the picturesque villages where you can sample some authentic Cypriot village life. The cyprus lifestyle is mainly an outdoor one due to the countries fantastic climate (over 320 days of sunshine) and that’s why most Cyprus apartments are built with such large balconies or sun terraces. Most of the eating in Cyprus is done outdoors along with the cooking, which makes barbecues the ideal alfresco cuisine. Many Cyprus apartments do in fact have built in barbecues on the sun terrace and the great news is that the weather won’t let you down either.

Nearly all the modern property complexes are built around a pool area with plenty of room for sun bathing and chilling out. You can relax with a nice cool beer and still keep an eye on the kids enjoying themselves in the water. There is always a great community atmosphere around these complexes and you are sure to meet some real friendly folks who will have made Cyprus their permanent reretirement home. In fact many of the Cyprus apartments that are rented out belong to private individuals. They will have purchased these properties for themselves and rent them to help with the day to day costs of ownership or even as payment towards a mortgage. Please bear in mind that even though you may have rented through a large company the Cyprus apartments are often someone’s home.

There is no doubt that Cyprus apartments will give you a holiday to remember and have you coming back to this beautiful Island year after year (just like we do) to soak up that glorious Mediterranean climate. The people are friendly, the weather is perfect and they even drive on the left. With so many people buying their own properties to rent out there has never been a better time to consider Cyprus apartments for your holiday. Enjoy Cyprus!

Fix and Flip: What To Fix

You’ve bought a house, a fixer-upper you can make some money on. What improvements and repairs should you make? First of all, you need to know this before you buy, as I explained in another article. Before and after you buy, though, you need to have some simple rules with which to start analyzing possible fixes.

You’ve bought a house, a fixer-upper you can make some money on. What improvements and repairs should you make? First of all, you need to know this before you buy, as I explained in another article. Before and after you buy, though, you need to have some simple rules with which to start analyzing possible fixes.

Return On Investment

A young couple was very disappointed when I told them there house was worth $110,000. “We just put $40,000 into remodeling the kitchen!” they told me. I looked at the kitchen. It was nice. They had added $10,000 in value to the house by spending $40,000. This is a classic example of a bad return on investment.

With fixer-uppers, you have do things which give the most “bang for the buck.” Aim for a three-to-one return on improvements. If you’re going to resurface the driveway for $1000, it better raise the value of the home by $3,000. Even when you’re just guessing, keep this three-to-one formula in your head, if you want to invest safely.

How To Fix A Fixer-Upper

With things like new curtains, you can’t really estimate the increase in value. What you can do, though, is group together the many small repairs and improvements you are considering, and imagine how the house will look when you are done. Then you can estimate whether you will have increased the value enough to justify the cost.

It often is in the small details that you’ll get the best return on investment, so look at these first. A new mailbox, flowers on the porch, a raked yard and trimmed trees - $30 total if you do the work yourself - can make a big difference in the first impression potential buyers have. First impressions are important.

Other small investments that pay big include shiny new switch covers (less than $1 each), shelves, a birdhouse, new doorknobs, new light fixtures, curtains, new rocks or wood chips on outdoor paths, new faucets, new woodstain on decks, and general cleaning. Stand in front of the house and imagine what it might look like with various small improvements (flowers, wood-rail fence, birdbath, etc.).

The Big Fixes

Obviously, there are things that just have to be repaired. The basic systems must function. Improvements, though, should be subject to the three-to-one rule. You may have to get creative here. An investor friend of mine once had a wall put up, and for less than $1000 created a new bedroom, probably raising the value of the house by $8,000. Now that’s a good return on investment.

Bathrooms and kitchens are important. A $1000 updating of a bathroom can add $4000 in value to a home. Spend $2000 wisely in the kitchen (New fridge, re-finish the cupboards, add a garbage disposal, etc.), and you can add $8000 to the sales price of the house. Look for changes which are most universally valued (don’t paint the kitchen pink because YOU like that color), and be sure you get a decent return on investment.

Depending on the fixer-upper, there are many potential improvements that can be worth doing. These include adding a carport, new doors, fences, gazebos, sheds, painting, carpet, benches, a new closet, a new toilet, a new stove, a shower/tub surround, and trees or bushes. The bottom line is the bottom line: be sure anything you do returns more than you spend, preferably three times as much.

More info…
Central vacuum cleaners are different from standard vacuums in that they are installed into a home much like central heating.

Central vacuum systems remove the dirt from the home and send it through tubes that are installed in the walls to a receptacle in an out of the way location like a garage or a basement. With these systems all that is carried is a lightweight hose and a power brush instead of moving a large vacuum unit from room to room.

Vacuuming will always be convenient with a central vacuum system because the power

Decorating services

Are you looking to decorate your home? Are you looking for an interior decorator or an interior decoration service? How do you decide which interior decorating service is good for you? Sometimes you do not have to look beyond your own house for a good interior decorator. You could try your hand at decorating your own house.

How can you achieve that? You could add your own style and decorations to your house. Giving your home a personal touch gives it that extra sparkle. If you paint your house with a self-help kit, it would give a look you could relate to. You get these kits in specialized self-help stores or in some interior decoration stores.

You could either choose to buy new sofas and shelves for your house or change your sofa-covers and fix new knobs for your shelf-doors. Look up the internet for some interior decoration samples to get ideas on how you can decorate your home. If you want your house to look more fanciful, you could use stained glass, but if you are looking for transparent windows, you could make do with ordinary glass.

Cottage style or country style decorations are some of the current trends in interior decoration. The other popular style is the tropical style; wherein you could add some mini tropical palm trees or a typical tropical wall-hanging with mirrors in your hall room.

Hire a professional interior decorator if you either have a room with a funny shape or when you are trying to achieve a particular style to decorate it. You could alternatively refer to some interior decoration magazines for more ideas. Interior decorators would know and also be able to help you with what is right for your house and the latest styles and interior decoration accessories in the market.

Time Saving House Cleaning Tips

So, you don’t like doing house work. Can’t afford to have someone clean for you? Here are some interesting tips to help you get out of the house, and out doing something you’d rather be doing.

There are certain things that anyone can get by with doing weekly, monthly, and then those jobs that just need to be done every 6 months to a year. These tips will help you cut down on the time you spend each week, and those we can sweep under the rug for a while!

To start off with I try to do something each night, that way I don’t have to spend a day doing just cleaning. It makes it a lot easier and you get your day off to do exactly what you want to do.

There is some way that those little dust bunnies just come back, no matter how hard we try to dust them away. So the first chore is:

Furniture: Dust all hard surfaces.

Floors: vacuum or mop (dust bunnies love all the tile and hardwood that we have in our homes now)

Now those two things can be done while listening to some good tunes or just catching up on some pent up energy.

There is one thing that we must do every day and that is eat. So I like to clean the kitchen while I’m cooking dinner. I spend a few moments doing the following while I wait for the water to boil.

Kitchen sink: Scrub and disinfect

Appliances: wipe down surfaces

Microwave: clean and deodorize

Refrigerator: Clean interior

Okay so now we have the easy stuff out of the way and we get to do the hard stuff! No one and I really don’t know anyone that likes to clean the bathroom. But it’s gotta be done!

Counters: Wipe down and disinfect

Bathtub/shower: Scrub down and clean

Toilet: Scrub (with a toilet brush) and disinfect

And the last of the weekly chores. Change and Launder the sheets.

The Monthly chores may take a little more time to do, but you’ll find that once you get started it is not to much to take on. Maybe even do just one or two a week.

Upholstery: Vacuum

Kitchen Cabinets: Wipe down doors

Stove Burner Grates: Scrub Clean

Waste baskets: Wipe out (I like to keep those grocery bags in my trash cans, they stay much cleaner)

Moldings: Dust

Door and Doorknobs: Wipe down

Ceiling Fans: Dust

Stove Hood: Degrease and clean

Now we are to the more tedious jobs the ones that we all like to put off till we just can’t any longer. These are the chores that should be done every 6 to 12 months:

Oven: Clean ( I have a self cleaning oven, I like to clean it right before Thanksgiving, that way it is clean for that big Turkey!)

Lamp shades: vacuum or wash and clean

Fabric Shades: wash if washable

DOG DITTY DAILY #5

A Motivational Moment for Misguided Masters & Mutts

Compiled by Hugo Hotagen, DDD (Duke of Doorknobs & Doghouses), a loyal lapdog-in-training apprented to the affable, agnostic and all-round air-headed Court of the Quipping Queen.

A quirky, quizzical and sometimes questionable quotidian quotation, in honor of the “Year of the Dog”, follows herewith:

“Some days you’re the dog, some days you’re the hydrant.”

Author: Anonymous.

About the Author

Some Basics on Small Kitchen Remodeling

The kitchen is probably one, if not the most remodeled area of the house. It has definitely gained so much attention from homeowners nowadays, probably because the kitchen has become the center or the hub of social and family activities. However, it doesn?t only hold true for family homeowners, it also applies to single people living in pads and condominiums, or college students living in dorms and apartments. But the difference, probably lies in the size and use of the kitchen. Compared to family houses, with wide kitchens, these single spacers only has a small space allotted for kitchens. Still, there?s an opportunity for these small kitchens to look good and new.

Small kitchen remodeling may not actually follow what the usual kitchen remodeling complexities have, but the basic must-haves should be present. Depending on who lives in that small place, whether he prefers a minimalist style or she likes a decorative one, the important aspects of the kitchen must still be there. Take for example, the countertops, at least cover all floor spaces with a counter space, and use a good countertop material that would suit your taste and design. There should also be cabinets, cupboards, and drawers filling up the empty spaces below the countertops and built on the walls, the more storage space you have, the better. Try to have built-in appliances to maximize the area and the little space you have. Your lighting must give a good effect on the room, making it look spacious and comfortable. There are other details which may vary depending on the person using the kitchen. If he or she usually uses her kitchen to cook or bake or work, try using tiles on the walls just above the sink, stove and countertops, for easier cleaning, and to give a variety on the look. You may also use unique and modern decorative handles and knobs for the cabinets and drawers to give a nice and fresh touch.

In small kitchen remodeling, one just has to do creative and resourceful thinking. Do not limit yourself to what is just there in your kitchen, try to imagine and visualize the kitchen you want, then work it out. It doesn?t mean that just because you have a small kitchen, you can?t anymore work some magic to beautify it. Make sure that when you start your small kitchen remodeling plan, you are putting a touch of yourself in it, this would give more life to your remodeled kitchen. Once your small kitchen remodeling is done, you?ll definitely enjoy staying in it — preparing, cooking, baking, eating, working, and even just chatting with your friends.

Metal Detecting in the UK

A third style, the Printed Spiral, is made only by Tesoro for use with pulse

speaker. Metal detectors also include a search shaft that connects it to
the coil and the control box. Metal detectors come with a control box
that contains the circuitry, controls, speaker, batteries and the
microprocessor; a shaft that connects the control box and the coil; a
search coil that actually senses the metal; and a stabilizer that keeps the
unit steady as it is moved. The basic metal detectors are easy to get used
to, with less features and buttons. Find out more about bounty hunter

Metal Detecting in the UK

Metal detecting is a hobby that is not just popular in the United States. In
the United Kingdom, metal detecting is also a rather popular activity
enjoyed by many. Clubs, organizations and groups abound, along with
many popular locations that are perfect for metal detecting enthusiasts.

Metal detecting actually has a long and rich history in the United Kingdom.
Interestingly enough, the invention of metal detectors sprung not from a
recreational or leisurely need: on the contrary, it came from the need to
detect the locations of dangerous mines, so that they might be disarmed.
By the end of the Second World War, metal detectors had become
considerably sophisticated and effective. Soon after, some archaeologists
began using mine detectors in their digs and excavations, in search for
ancient metal artifacts.

By the 1950s, metal detectors began to be used to recover small items
like coins in England. The brothers Caiger-Smith used what were
previously mine detectors to recover modern as well as Roman coins in
the fields surrounding the town where they lived, in the Newbury area.
They even wrote and published their experience with metal detectors
and what these nifty gadgets could possibly accomplish in the future. The
paper sparked interest in metal detectors that would continue to grow
until the present time.

Go to your local ” do it yourself ” coin operated car wash. Look for the
place where they dump the contents of the 25 cent vacuum cleaners.
Search the piles and see what a gold mine they are for coins and rings.
Any place there is construction and the ground is being cleared, that is a
great place to start treasure hunting. Successfull treasure hunting starts
with having the right metal detector. But which type of metal detector
should you get? Complete info on metal detectors and treasure hunting
at detect-metal.info.

ome detectors have more ways of adjusting the “fit” to the person. Some
of the other ways that detectors adjust are that the arm cup can be
raised or lowered, and the box containing the board and controls can be
taken off of the pole and mounted in a small pouch. Many people say to
us “I have always wanted to do this!” As with other electronic
equipments, innovations seems to always happen overnight. If you are
going to buy a metal detector today, try to know that technologies are
currently employed. You do not want to be behind the technology line,
right?

If you are planning to buy a metal detector, you should check out the
features of each before buying one. Metal detecting is a fun hobby but
having the wrong equipment can cost you time and money. Mention the
words metal detector and you’ll get completely different reactions from
different people. For instance, some people think of combing a beach in
search of coins or buried treasure.

As in most other countries, laws govern metal detecting in the UK. A
metal detecting enthusiast should be granted permission to go metal
detecting on all lands except those that are open to the public such as
parks and beaches that are not privately-owned. Otherwise, in the case
of fields and farms that are privately owned, you must ask permission first
before you search, and usually an agreement between the property
owner and the metal detecting enthusiast is made regarding any items of
value that may be found in the area.

There is also a Treasure Act and Code of Practice in the UK that every
metal detecting enthusiast should read and remember; as there are
certain items, such as coins that are older than three hundred years old,
that must be reported to the authorities when they are found. Metal
detecting is so popular in the United Kingdom that a national body has
been set up for the hobby. The national body is called the National
Council for Metal Detecting, or NCMD, and you can visit their site on
http://www.ncmd.co.uk, where you can find some very useful
information on metal detecting in the UK. A recent study proves that
hand-held metal detectors are just as accurate as x-rays in finding coins
and other metallic objects swallowed by children.

Now that you have learned the three different types of metal detector,
it??s up to you to make your choice as to what type of detector you wish
to use for your searches.

Some users put a rubber band around the knobs to keep them from
moving or becoming loose. You should buy a metal detector that is light
weight. This is important when you are detecting things on a riverbank or
body of water.

The Garrett Enforcer G-2 is the smallest body scanner and sensitive
enough to detect even the smallest of knives or guns.

The most popular one is the Super Scanner. It can detect hatpins as small
as one inch.

The Least Marketing You Can Do - and Still Have a Successful Small Business

Why do small business owners get such poor results from their marketing? You can sum this up in three reasons: They don’t know what to do, or they don’t know how to do it. Sometimes, even when they know both of these, they just don’t do it!

Not marketing is bad for business.

Marketing is by far the most misunderstood aspect of small business. Many people think it’s selling, which it isn’t. Some people avoid doing marketing, because they fear it’s too pushy and will make them feel needy. Nothing could be further from the truth.

If you love your business and love your customers, you can love marketing. After all, it’s just talking to people you love about something you love, which is your vocation.

Convinced? OK, maybe not yet. Let’s take a look at the three elements of marketing that are the absolute minimum you can do and still have a successful business.

  1. Marketing is about creating awareness in your target audience.
Unfortunately, most people don’t have psychic powers to sense that you are out there, available to help them.

Instead, we have to make them aware of ourselves. And then, we need to communicate to them in a way that lets them know how they will benefit from whatever we do.

So the first piece of this is a target audience. Since I don’t like the idea of shooting my audience with an arrow or a bullet, I prefer the term “intended audience.” Whom do I intend to serve in my business?

Again, we have to be specific. “Everyone,” “people” and other general terms like this are no good. Even “women” is too general. What kind of women are they? “Brides-to-be who want to capture their wedding memories on film” is better. “Mothers of children with autism” works well, too.

Articulating your intended audience with precision is one of the three things you must do. You will not be successful if you don’t do this step.

  2. Now that you know who they are, how will you reach them? Where do they go? What do they read? How could they find out about you?

If you’re a restaurant, you may rely on nothing more than an excellent location to create awareness (like in a food court in a mall). Most of us have to do more.

A residential cleaning service may put up flyers at the supermarket or hang something on neighborhood doorknobs. A financial planner may attend networking events or speak at trade association meetings. A catering company could advertise in a local bridal magazine. A pressure washing service may go door-to-door, knocking.

Getting in front of your audience - whether literally in person, with an ad or an article, or through product sampling - is the second thing you must do. Again, no success without this step.

  3. The third and final “least marketing you can do” is to craft a message. If you know your intended audience and get in front of them, what will you say - or broadly, communicate - to them? How will they know that what you are offering is something they should buy?

The core part of your message is your value statement. This is when you tell your intended audience why you are exactly the right choice for them. Think beyond your process ? what you do and how you do it ? to the final result, the benefit; think big!

Recently, a hotel events planner gave her value statement this way: “When you’re planning a business meeting and there’s no room for mistakes, we ensure a seamless event.” The caterer we talked about could specialize in vegetarian meals, and might say: “I offer vegetarian meals that are so delicious, even the carnivores will want seconds.”

You can vary your message all you want, but the requirement is that there is one. Be sure, when you have the awareness of your intended audience, they leave not with a question mark over their heads, but with an understanding of your value.

Now, that is the least marketing you can do and still be successful.

Empowering parents to help children with autism and special needs learn through play

SenseToys specialises in providing a carefully selected range of toys and activities to help parents and professionals caring for children with poor or delayed language skills, autism related difficulties, impaired hearing, developmental delays, dyspraxia and physical disabilities.

As a parent, the early stages of learning about and coming to terms with even the mildest of special needs are extremely difficult and stressful times. One of the greatest frustrations is identifying practical ways to help your child - whilst climbing a very steep learning curve in terms of understanding the problem, including learning about whole new areas of health and education provision which most parents never encounter, there is the overwhelming desire to want to be able to do something practical.

Time is of the essence - early intervention for children with special needs can make a significant difference to the child, and indeed to the family and all concerned. Thus helping parents and carers find and understand what they need can be a real benefit - even when some of the toys are readily available it is often difficult for the non-specialist to know why a particular toy or feature might be helpful. For example the typical “inset” style farmyard puzzle can be extremely difficult for some children, particularly the youngest, to use and develop their fine motor skills, and so simply selecting puzzles with larger knobs enables them to make progress. Sadly most parents like ourselves just don’t find these things out until much later, so with the right information and product selection we (SenseToys) should be able to make this advice more readily available.

I set up SenseToys to help people like me find and choose which toys we need, understand how to use them, and why they work - practical information and advice for parents and carers, especially for those learning about and coping with special needs for the first time, based on first hand experience.

SenseToys helps you to make learning fun and rewarding for children with learning difficulties - sometimes even “ordinary” toys can help you produce extraordinary results if you can find them and know how to use them effectively! Visit our website: www.sensetoys.com.

Oscilloscopes

An oscilloscope is an electronic instrument that is used to indicate voltage of an electronic device. It is chiefly used to diagnose the working condition of any electric equipment. It represents one or more electric potential differences in a two-dimensional graph, with the horizontal axis representing time and the vertical axis showing voltage. Some oscilloscopes can show even two or more waveforms. These are used for phase comparison and timing measurements.

An oscilloscope can be used to find out exactly which part of the electrical equipment is faulty. The oscilloscope?s ground is put on the circuit?s ground and its probe is put on a connection between any two stages in the middle of an array of stages. If there is no signal, it indicates that some part in the preceding stage is not functioning properly. This will enable us to locate exactly which component is not working. This is very useful since electronic equipments stop functioning because of just one faulty component within the whole equipment. Another application of an oscilloscope is to test newly designed circuitry. Software engineers also used oscilloscopes for testing the electronics of software.

An oscilloscope is shaped like a rectangular box. It has a small screen, several control knobs, input connectors and buttons on the front panel. The screen has a grid drawn over it, known as the graticule. Each grid in the graticule is called a division. The oscilloscope keeps drawing a horizontal line across the middle of the screen. This line, or the trace, keeps moving from left to right over the screen. If the input voltage deviates from zero, the trace deflects upwards or downwards. There are two controls which monitor this deflection: timebase control, which monitors the speed of the line in seconds per division; and the vertical control, which monitors the vertical deviation in volts per division. It thus gives a graph of voltage/time.

There are different kinds of oscilloscopes: analog oscilloscope, digital oscilloscope, digital storage oscilloscope, digital phosphor oscilloscope and digital sampling oscilloscope. Agilent, B+K Precision, EZ Digital, Extech Instruments Corp., Fluke, Instek, International Tools & Technologies, Inc., Iwatsu, Kenwood TMI Corp., LeCroy, Morrow Wave, Tektronix and Yokogawa are some of the popular oscilloscope manufacturers.

Information about oscilloscopes, along with their prices and product facts can be sourced from the internet. There are hundreds of websites that give information about oscilloscopes.

Oscilloscopes provides detailed information on Analog Oscilloscopes, Digital Oscilloscopes, Handheld Oscilloscopes, Oscilloscope Repair and more. Oscilloscopes is affliated with Open MRI.
